Natural Acne Treatments that Really Work On Your Face

Many different cultures, for thousands of years, have been using plant-based remedies to successfully treat illness and injury. One common household product that can be very successful in treating acne is Aloe Vera. If you read the labels of products designed for treating the skin, you will often find aloe vera listed as one of the main ingredients. This plant is easy to grow in just about any climate and flourishes indoors as well. If you have a plant or two, you will always be able to open a leaf and apply the natural gel to your skin problem. Many people would prefer to just buy a bottle of the gel and this is easily found in the pharmacy sections of many stores, in pharmacies themselves, and at your local natural/health foods store. There's also aloe vera juice or pills that you can ingest, which can help balance the hormones which cause acne. Aloe vera has many other healthful benefits besides skin problems. It is especially helpful if you are prone to problems that deal with your digestive tract. You can unknowingly make your acne condition worse by doing little things unawares. Without realizing it, your choice in makeup, or other products you put on your skin, could actually be the cause of your acne or, at the very least, aggravating it. Try switching from oil based makeup to water based, as this is gentler on your skin and oil can cause acne to spread. Giving up wearing makeup altogether is a smart idea if you are suffering from acne. If you must wear makeup, only wear the bare minimum necessary. One big step you can take so your acne doesn't spread is to stop touching the infected area and then touching other areas. Also, don't be constantly squeezing the acne pimples. All you do by messing with your acne is irritate your skin further and spread the acne. The first rule for getting rid of your acne is to identify the behaviors you have that can cause the acne to become worse.
